Nestbox Installation & Checking
Lake Mountain Nestbox Checking. Saturday and Sunday November 13th & 14th 2010.
Volunteers are required for Lake Mountain Nestbox checking. Approximately 3 volunteers are needed for both Saturday and Sunday of the nestbox checking program. These will be all day events and require some physical activity as volunteers will be required to walk varying distances over rough ground often carryiny equipment such as nestboxes (approximately 10kgs) or ladders.
Note if there is bad weather and a last minute cancellation the back up dates for this activity will be the following w/e 20 & 21 November or 4 & 5 December.

In conjunction with Parks Victoria, FLBP propose to aid the ongoing survival of Leadbeater’s Possum by providing additional homes in the form of nestboxes to supplement the natural tree hollows in key Leadbeater’s Possum habitat in Victoria’s Central Highlands and at Yellingbo Nature Conservation Reserve (NCR).

I am a teacher and my students are trying to raise funds to buy a nesting box. So I would love to help out on this weekend…. I do not have ladder licence. Please let me know if you need me.
