Community Events

Friends of Leadbeaters’s Possum (FLBP) are working hard to raise the profile of our victorian faunal emblem. The group regularly attend a range of community events in addition to volunteer fieldwork where there is an opportunity to increase public awareness and/or raise revenue for the ongoing operating costs of FLBP projects (all members provide their time on a volunteer basis).

1. Stop Beating Around the Bush. Fundraising Artshow. 2-29 September 2010.

WTC Wharf Gallery – World Trade Centre Building. Melbourne.

Opening Gala evening – 2 September 2010.

 

FLBP will be hosting an artshow at the World Trade Centre throughout September to coincide with it’s launch on Threatened Species Day 7th September 2010.
FLBP are currently looking for interested members to help get this huge project coordinated, or from anyone interested in assisting in other ways to make this project a huge success.

 

Are you an artist or do you know an artist who might be interested in donating artwork for this fundraising event? Maybe you are interested in purchasing art? If you know people that might be interested in donating or purchasing artwork please forward them details of this fundraising event. The more networking we all do the best chance of a successful fundrasing event and the greatest impact we can make in helping Leadbeater’s Possum survive in the wild. Funds raised will support habitat restoration, conservation campaigning and education programs.
